2009 Southwest Region Convention
The 2009 Southwest Region Convention will be held via conference call on June 4, 2009 at 8:00PM MST (7:00PM Arizona Time). Call-in details will be sent closer to the convention.
Pursuant to Section 920 of the YDA Bylaws each state has the number of votes they cast at the 2007 YDA National Convention in Dallas, or 5 votes, whichever number is higher. Each state may decide on its own how to determine its allocation of votes to candidates. A representative of the state must be on the call to cast its votes.
Arizona: 100
Nevada: 76
New Mexico: 9
Utah: 30
Currently Colorado and Wyoming are not yet officially chartered.
Elections will be held for the following regional offices:
Region Director
Deputy Director
Secretary/Treasurer
Judicial Council Representative
Nominations for region offices will be made on the call. I encourage candidates to contact state leaders beforehand.
